Braille

Happy National Braille Week!

10 October 2023

Today marks the beginning of National Braille Week. Braille is a tactile system of reading and writing used by people with sight loss. It is a system that has become a lifeline in communicating for so many people around the world, which is why SADC would like to bring attention to this awareness week (support here). Despite the existence of Braille, being blind can be socially isolating, so organisations like Herts Vision Loss need your help to reduce loneliness and isolation for such people! Start supporting them on our Community Lottery. Click here to find out more.
